Who We Are
We're not your typical architecture firm, honestly. Started in Vancouver back when everyone was doing the same glass-box thing, we kinda went sideways with it. The whole "ethereal" part isn't just marketing speak – it's how we actually think about space.
See, most folks design buildings. We design domains. There's a difference. A building sits there, but a domain... it breathes, shifts, responds to whoever's moving through it. Took us years to figure out how to articulate this, but once you experience it, you get it immediately.
PHILOSOPHY
Architecture shouldn't force itself on you. We've always believed it should feel like discovering something that was meant to be there all along. Contemporary doesn't mean cold – it means honest about what it is and where it exists.
APPROACH
We spend way more time listening than sketching initially. Every site tells you what it wants to be if you're patient enough. Then we layer in the technical stuff – sustainability, flow, light patterns. But it starts with listening.
PROCESS
Collaborative chaos, really. We involve clients way earlier than most firms. Your space, your input. We're just the ones who know how to make it stand up and work properly.
How We Work
There's this moment in every project – usually around week three – where everything clicks. The site, the concept, the client's half-formed ideas... they all converge into something real. That's what we chase.
Discovery Phase
We walk the site, talk for hours, sketch rough concepts. No contracts yet, just understanding.
Design Development
This is where it gets intense. Models, renderings, material samples everywhere. Coffee consumption peaks here.
Realization
Working with builders who get it. Site visits constantly. Adjusting things that look different in reality than on paper.
Living Architecture
We check in after you've moved in. A space needs time to settle with its people.

Our studio's on Granville – third floor walk-up with these massive windows that let us track the light all day. We've done projects across Canada and internationally, but there's something about being rooted here that keeps the work grounded.
